Christy and Jason Kingan are the proud owners of the Frederick County sale. Since purchasing it in spring of 2022, they have been working hard to make shopping, volunteering and consigning with Kid’s Closet Connection a rewarding experience. What began as Christy’s simple shopping excursion in 2015, slowly escalated into selling and volunteering with various Kid’s Closet franchises. When the opportunity arose to purchase the Frederick County franchise, it was one they couldn't pass up!
As Director of Sports Medicine for a large physical therapy company as her day job, Christy is no stranger to managing fast paced, high volume events. “Multi-tasking and organization are keys to success,” she says. “But, customer service is essential - - I always want people to feel like they’re heard and are treated like family."
As parents to two children - - Jaxon and McKinley - - Christy and Jason recognize that raising a family in today’s world adds up quickly. “Our sale is an opportunity for people to invest back into their own families - - by not only shopping for quality items at deeply discounted prices, but also selling items they no longer use,” Christy says. “It’s also a way to give back to our community, as many unsold items are donated to The Frederick Rescue Mission and family-based shelters.”
