Amy and Ross Schweer (and family) - Gardner, Kansas Communication and community are the keys to Amy Schweer’s successful Kid’s Closet Connection sales. As a sales manager for a publishing company by day, Amy became one of the first franchise owners after shopping and consigning at the earliest Overland Park flagship Kid’s Closet sales. “I loved the business and the Smitkas who started Kid’s Closet Connection,” Amy says. “It was just a natural fit for my family to host these sales and bring this event to our community of Gardner." Amy and her husband, Ross, are also civically-minded, and were the first franchise to host holiday sales in December, and the first to host online sales during the pandemic. They also returned as quickly as possible to in-person events embracing a more spread out and less compacted shopping space. We have loved keeping that change in place in more recent year. We also now host a full 2nd week each season, dedicated to adult, teen and mom-to-be clothing and items! “We host this sale because we believe it is a great way to give back to the community,” Amy says. “These sales are a great way to score some awesome items for your children or to earn some extra cash when you sell items you no longer need.” Our family has loved hosting these sales and see the community grow along with us!
