Kishba Bowerman - - Willow Grove, Pennsylvania (Philadelphia Suburbs)
Kishba Bowerman has a passion for fashion. An owner of the northern Philly suburb Kid’s Closet franchise since Fall of 2017, Kishba has worked in national child-style retail stores since she was a teenager.
“I’ve always loved children’s clothing and appreciate the merchandising and marketing of quality kids’ items,” she says. “Nearly 20 years later, owning this Kid’s Closet Connection franchise is the realization of a dream - - to develop my own entrepreneurial goals, while being able to sell the pint-sized products I love.”
With seven children of her own and a full-time job as an Income Maintenance Caseworker with the Department of Human Services, nurturing comes naturally to Kishba.
“I know for any endeavor to be successful, it takes everyone pitching in and doing their best, so I’m leaning into my large family for support,” she says. “I want to bring out the best in my consignors, shoppers and volunteers. This is the legacy I want to pass onto my family and community.”
Kishba’s father sowed the earliest seeds of salesmanship, as she helped with his real estate business.
“I love that the framework for the Kid’s Closet Connection sales are established, but I have the freedom to be creative and listen to customers,” she says. “Children’s clothing is my passion and hosting these sales is a great way to get quality kids’ items to smart shoppers who love bargains!”
