Kyle and Laura Minnick - - Adams County, Pennsylvania
For Kyle and Laura Minnick, owning the Adams County Kid’s Closet sale is a way to connect with the community - - and each other. KCC franchise owners since Summer 2018, Kyle and Laura - - and their three children - - have a familial philosophy when it comes to work and play.
“We work as a team in life and our dynamics are such that we play off each other’s strengths,” Laura says. “Kyle and I both have ties to the Gettysburg community and want our sales to bless the lives of others. as our own family has been blessed.”
The Minnicks first discovered Kid’s Closet Connection as consignors who were able to shop for their children’s “new” clothes at the sale using the money they had made consigning items their kids had outgrown. The Minnicks also made the rounds to other KCC sales in the area, due to the fact that unsold tagged items can be easily transferred between sales without additional work.
Together, Kyle and Laura are a true tagging tag-team. “Before we owned the Adams County sale, tagging items together was a time to sit together, talk and work toward a common goal,” Kyle says. “When it comes to our sales, we tag-team responsibilities, while still working closely together.”
Working as a law enforcement officer by day, Kyle acts as the “front man” and “muscle” of the sale. Laura, a clinical manager at a doctor’s office, takes care of business by handling administrative tasks that keep the sale running smoothly.
“We are planting the seeds for successful sales and are excited how this endeavor will blossom and grow in the community,” Kyle says. “Truth be told, to say we’re excited is an understatement.”
