Kara’s calling isn’t just children, it’s also her career. As a Kid’s Closet Connection franchise owner since March 2016, Kara embarks on entrepreneurial enterprises which combine babies and business. With a blended family of three children, and Kevin, her supportive husband, Kara seizes scenarios in which she can put her college degree in Business Administration to good use.
“When opportunity has knocked, I always open the door - - that is true of Facial Expressions, my face painting and body art painting business - - and the franchise with Kids’ Closet Connection,” Kara says. “With young children, I need to be flexible around their schedules, and it helps that they are interested in what I do, too.”
Before becoming the franchise owner, Kara had consigned at the Dauphin County sale for two seasons. She is thrilled to be the owner the Kids’ Closet Connection sale in her community.
“When you’re a mom with young kids, the days can seem long, but the years are short,” she says. “It feels good to be able to provide this consignment sale - - not only for our family - - but for our community and watch how the children will grow.”
